Holy spirit revelation of meeting people from Netherlands and Canada

I was trying out a church a couple of years ago, wanting to maybe find a secondary source fellowship as I was dealing with the rough emotional turmoil of yet again seeing close friends leave London where I was living.

I had a dream of seeing two people, one was from Holland and one from Canada. Neither of them seem to be based on anyone I know, and these days I’m doing IT work in a secular workplace.

So for the second time, some people from this church asked me to come along to a bible study, just before I set off to leave work to get the tube (London Underground) I got a WhatsApp message that the bible study was to be at a different person’s house.

So I got to this person’s house I never met. I actually got there early, and the man’s wife let me in and chatted to the 3 or 4 folks there. The man who owned the house come in after shopping. He was Dutch. When I asked some of the folks what their stance was on Gifts of the Spirit, they told me that they were Cessationists and they believe the gifts are no longer applicable today. I told them about what I saw in a dream.

This particular church has some really good qualities, they have a genuine love and need to reach out with gospel and grown in numbers and planted smaller satellite places. As the Lord seems to show me certain things from dreams and visions, and I haven’t been back there again, as I like to go to some specialist Christian teaching events on prophecy.

I didn’t feel a need to tell the folks from the church they were wrong, but as this was a year ago, I am still amazed how the Holy Spirit can provide insights of situations in unusual settings.

Meanwhile at my work, I found out one of our remote colleagues was based in Vancouver, as he was a Canadian who moved back to his home town.

I’m cautiously Charismatic, but I also believe the gifts of the Spirit are still applicable today, although I recognise there can be excesses in Charismatic churches.

These days I try to write down what I get in dreams, many of these don’t make sense, once in a while, some definitely have meaning.

Related; If you are curious, I had a strange experience regarding a child’s buggy rolling down a hill close to my flat in Jerusalem.

Tales of Holy Land: The child’s buggy and my strange dream

For a while now I often start to get strange dreams, and some of them often tended to have some genuine significance. So in 2011 while I was living in Israel I decided to start writing them down, to then see later if any of these has any useful value.

Back in 2011 I got a dream about seeing a child’s pushchair (stroller to my American friends) going down a hill. I am not sure why. This is a Google maps glimpse of the street I used to live on in Jerusalem Israel.

As I’m a evangelical Christian who believes in gifts of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 14:1 ) To be honest, back then I didn’t really ask for any special ability. Living in this part of the world had some unusual challenges, and I’m just going to try and share something I experienced back then.

One day, around February 2013, I was going up this exact street where I lived to work, or it might of been a weekend – straight ahead on the right was a woman with the boot (trunk) of a SUV. She was packing some stuff away. She also didn’t put the brake on the child’s pushchair.

I’m walking my bike up this hill – actually I don’t remember if this was a week day or a weekend. I don’t think it was on any of the Jewish holidays. I come face to face with an infant on a pushchair coming down the road at me.

I managed to throw my bike onto the ground and grab the pushchair and stop it without the child being thrown forward.

I saw the woman with the car, silently mouth ‘oh my God’ as I held the pushchair and just quietly told her she should be more careful. I wonder why I had a dream of something that could of nearly been a tragedy.

A few other odd things have happened since that I’ll share another time.

(Note: made slight edit, as I got the years wrong)

The Balfour Declaration, Britain’s help in creating modern Israel

This week I’m meeting up with some close friends I used to work with in Israel.   There is an event at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, an event to celebrate Britain playing a part in creating the modern Jewish state.

Not that far away from the Israeli embassy too.

I saw something interesting around London a few weeks ago.   In London’s financial district there is always construction going on.

The building here is constructed in a specific way, the centre core of the block which I guess contains the stairs and lift shafts is done first, kind of like the spine of the building, then next the floors which is kind of like ribs and maybe limbs, last is the outer structural parts which the walls and glass windows fix onto.

Near my church there are lots of these type buildings made to the same method, one of them stayed as half a spine and got no further.   Perhaps a victim of the 2008 recession which stayed abandoned as a concrete stump for a long time before being bought by another company then demolished and a different building going up its place.

The bible talks about something similar.

Ezekiel 37 : 1 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

The modern state of Israel was birthed in 1948, and this scripture points at a promise towards its realisation as a homeland again for the Jewish people and flourishing as a democratic nation.

Today most of Israel doesn’t know their messiah Yeshua (more commonly known by you and me as Jesus)   The finishing part is yet to come.

Three words in the bible indicate crucial prophecy – “knowledge will increase”

From the prophet Daniel:-

Daniel 12: 4 But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”

Knowledge is a wonderful thing, we have libraries and encyclopedias, and these days we have the internet.   Its easy to look up something in an instant.

About 5 years ago, I was travelling on a bus in Haifa Israel, and accidentally went past Google’s R&D labs.  I remember few years back, Google doubled their whole efforts in Israel.

So with the gospel coming out of Israel, and part of the hi-tech big names setting up shop there, its no coincidence Israelis are find their Messiah mostly through the internet, which is why I love all these testimonies happening from OneForIsrael.

Jeremiah 31 – The Tanakh’s warm up to the New Testament

I forgot to mention that verse from the Joshua Aaron worship song I posted a short while back.

This is by far one of my favourite passages from the Tanakh (Old testament)   its like a kind of ‘warm up’ to the New Testament of what’s planned through salvation through Yeshua (Jesus)

Jeremiah 31 : 31

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
34 No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”

This bit is mindblowing, soon even atheist Jews in Israel will have God revealed to them!

35 This is what the Lord says,

he who appoints the sun
to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
to shine by night,
who stirs up the sea
so that its waves roar—
the Lord Almighty is his name:
36 “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,”
declares the Lord,
“will Israel ever cease
being a nation before me.”
37 This is what the Lord says:

“Only if the heavens above can be measured
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,”
declares the Lord.

Here, the Lord is abundantly clear that the Jewish people have a part to play, with the modern nation of Israel, with Jesus’s return in the new future.

This completely trashes the concept of “fulfillment theology” (or replacement theology, or supercessionism) common opinion that says that God’s covenant with the Jewish people is finished.   Jesus fulfills the law but one of the biggest revivals will happen back in the land where it all started.

Interesting sign, turn around left and you can see the Golden Gate where Jesus will return (blocked up with Muslim cemetery in front)  to the right the Mount of Olives where he will stand.

Sukkah tent shows pathway into Jerusalem Jesus plans to take

Last week, I was out and about at the Shuk (open air market) and notice some people have the tents already up for Sukkot, this was a few weeks early, I suppose just like us folks in Britain complain the shops display Christmas stuff in late September.

There was something different about this tent though;

I really like the illustrations of Jerusalem from long ago on this Sukkah, its beautifully done.   The shapes of these buildings in the old city are easily recognisable from the ones from today, just there is a busy main road where people are taking camels through.

The Golden Gate!

This side is quite exciting, as this shows this special gate which visited twice before (see here) as its where the scriptures tell us our Lord Jesus will return via this side of the city.   Only thing is if you look at my previous blog article you will see the distinctive double archway entrance is blocked up and has an Arab cemetery in front of it, trees, thorny bushes and railings stopping anyone from making a path to there.   Actually these specifically placed obstacles aren’t going to stop our Lord and King from his return, which is probably soon!

Wonder if anyone could mention who did these nice illustrations.

2011 Egypt and prophecy

Read something quite amazing on the blog of Walid Shoebat, an ex-Palestinian terrorist who came to Jesus.

http://www.shoebat.com/blog/archives/753

This passage from the bible specifically mentions current events in Egypt:

Isaiah 19:2-4 “I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian— brother will fight against brother, neighbour against neighbour, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.  The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the spiritists.  I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.

Something not mentioned on the news at all, is the Suez Canal.  This man made water highway through Egypt is a shortcut to get goods in from Asia to Europe and North America.  That includes oil just in case it wasn’t expensive enough already.  A new Egyptian administration could chose to tax this route higher or close it altogether.   Obviously this affects everywhere meaning more inflation could be on the way.

Reading this part and making my own conclusions:

Daniel 11:43 He (the AntiChrist) will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites in submission.

This also has great significance, as I read today (16th February 2011) not only has historical items been looted from a museum in Cairo in recent weeks.

Libya is on the news today here.

Cush refers to a nation in north east Africa, possibly Ethiopia, or, in this case today on the news there has been the birth of a new nation, South Sudan which breaks away from the main part of Sudan, this is a place where Christians have suffered one of the highest rates of persecution in the world.  South Sudan will become autonomous in July 2011.

I do pray that Egypt gets a better leader and a government, but I am not optimistic.  A likely side effect of all the trouble in many middle east nations at the moment as this scripture says is lots of Arab people come to Christ as they get disenchanted with Islam and their government.
